Prostitution and Society

PROSTITUTION

Who are Prostitutes? The question that arises in the mind of person who is unaware about this. Prostitutes is a typical term used for the women who sell their bodies for sake of some money. They money they need for their survival. As a society we perceive them as the most filthiest part of our society. We think that they shouldn’t be in our society as they are destroying our moral values. We think they meant to be hated. They are root cause of all the evil acts in our society. We label a normal actress as prostitutes. Do we ever think that who is a prostitute ? we hate them even though islam has said that not to hate them even. Did we ever think what made them prostitutes. Did they chose this because they found pleasure in it, do they really wanted this. We never bothered to know the fact or we never wanted to ask them or even ourselves, because we ae too judgmental that before judging someone we don’t even realize that which condition had put them in such situation. They had no option left. Some were forced and some chose this option themselves in order to have a better future or to fulfill their family needs. We often look down upon them as we consider them as the most filthiest part of our society. But are they really bad? Even islam does not allow us to hate them. Then why do we hate them. Why don’t we hate those men who are part of this. Wo are actually part of all this mess. Who daily go to brothels and purchase their bodies for their pleasure, and in order satisfy their sexual needs they visit them almost daily. They are hypocrites. After fulfilling their pleasures they abuse them, they label them as prostitutes. They start to hate them . they talk bad about them
We talk bad about them. We look down upon them. We hate the area they live tin. Do we have any right to judge them . we don’t even realize and just start judging. We never tried to stop this. We never tried to stop those men. We never helped them in getting a respectable profession or a respectable place in society. Then who we are to judge them. We labelled our celebrities and actresses as prostitutes. They are working what they like. They are acting. They are earning for their families. Some entered in this industry because they liked it and some entered for their families . they didn’t find any job or any other profession well so they could feed their families. So they entered in this profession so they could earn better for their families.
The proper definition of prostitute is: it is an industry in which a person provides sexual services to others for money exchange. Around 300 B.C., this profession subsided in sacred places such as temples and churches. Female prostitution is extensively growing. Around 1.8 million people are indulged in this profession. In Pakistan, prostitution finds its roots in red light area i.e. in Lahore, Multan, Karachi, Faisalabad, and Rawalpindi. Approximately 26000 women selling sex each day in Lahore alone. The prostitutes can be classified in 3 types, home based, street based and kothi khana. The prostitution has severe impact on women’s health and social life. They are deprived of their rights for health and comfort.
The factors are voluntarily or by force, but major is one by economic crises and family pressure. The lack of education is also one of the main issue. Lack of emotional support and care of family is very important . if they don’t get that, they try to get it from someone else. We should stop blaming the women for lack of self-control with regard to men is gender discrimination. Talking about another situation related to the word prostitution, even after knowing that what definition our society has set for the word prostitution. We don’t hesitate to call someone by this title. We often call an actress a prostitute just because she is acting, just because that work maybe to support her family or may be because she likes acting well that’s not our business.
A girl who may have made a mistake, even having a little affair with someone or may be she liked someone, we called them prostitute. Our small brains and narrow mindness have no idea that what we are saying, we are hurting someone. We have no right to put our nose in others life. We are not their head, we have not created them that we have right to judge them. We haven’t taken responsibilities of their lives. We are answerable for our shits not others. Those women who are selling their bodies should be given proper work or they should be helped financially so that they leave this work. They should be given a respectable life. We should not hate them. We should take some steps to help them out.

Students and career pressure

Being a part of society where children are under career pressure is very painful. Every child is special and every child has ability in a specific field. Every child has his own likes and whatever he wants to be in life. I mean yes some times parents think that’s not good for us that we choose but that forcing might have negative impact on us. Parents should softly talk to their children to tell them what is good for them and what is not but should never force them. A child in his teenage is the most sensitive one. Parents should realize that their mental health is really important for building up their future. Let children go and discover themselves. Let them decide their future. Let them decide what they want to be. Let them search their purpose of life . Don’t force. It’s not compulsory that only doctor or engineer is everything. Don’t enforce your child to be what u didn’t become. Your enforcement will not only destroy their future but will be too bad for their mental health.

Help your children grow!
